Hot brew always worked wonders for me. I've never tried cold brew and honestly know nothing about it so I wouldn't be able to recommend it. You sound like your onto something with the cold brew being better for drink and hot for the other. I learned from the Gerson Therapy which is tried and true method and they hot brew. Good luck! Let me know how it all goes for ya! :)Amber Higginshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16826069077975104634noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8015261863240621192.post-73883645510441613642013-01-13T21:28:59.469-08:002013-01-13T21:28:59.469-08:00Also, on the sawilsons.com site (the Gold Roast co...Also, on the sawilsons.com site (the Gold Roast coffee you recommend), they promote their coffee as being more acidic than normal. I'm thinking that cold brew might be better for drinking, and hot brewing is better for the other end, ha ha.Stevenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8015261863240621192.post-46281686401243657892013-01-13T21:24:52.583-08:002013-01-13T21:24:52.583-08:00I'm an alcoholic trying to detox my liver and ...I'm an alcoholic trying to detox my liver and I thought I would give this a try. I ordered the coffee and enema kit from the place you recommended (yes they have everything you need there.) My question is, will a regular coffee maker work just as well as manually boiling and filtering?

'awakeningheartsong', above comment, uses the cold-brewing method, is that better? The Toddy website says that cold-brewing produces much less acid, which makes it taste better, but the research I found says that it is the 'palmitic acid' that, in fact helps, the liver. So it would seem hot brewing is better. I so wish I would have known before I let the docs take out my gallbladder. :( But hey, I'm working with what I got and eating better than ever so maybe it all happens for a reason. Thanks again!Amber Higginshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16826069077975104634noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8015261863240621192.post-40892780401588001632012-04-21T14:03:08.270-07:002012-04-21T14:03:08.270-07:00awesome! I have been using the coffee enema for the past 9 months almost daily to support healing some major health issues and extreme heavy metal poisoning. So I am dedicated to detoxing and chelation. The coffee enema's support my liver and gall bladder cleansing and releasing the toxins. My skin turned ORANGE from the back up of toxins not releasing in my gall bladder and liver and I got very sick. The doc's told me they y wanted to take out my gall bladder so I started the coffee enemas and it worked. I am no longer orange and my liver and gall bladder are now doing their job. So I am a believer as well as the ND that I was working with. Here's a couple of my add-ons to improve the experience;
A comfort item to add; I dedicated my extra yoga matt to be my enema matt. My bathtub is too short for an enema session, but my bathroom floor is tiled so it is easy to clean up if there is a spill or accident of any kind. (they do happen on occasion) I lay the matt out in the sun every once in a while to help sterilize it. ;)
Cold press coffee instead of cooking the beans. Once you have the set up (Fiiltron or Toddy) it is easy and saves time since you just measure and add to the bucket with the hot and cold water. The cold press coffee works well. My ND and colonic practitioner both like and support this idea of mine. I have have the liver/gall dumps most every time with the coffee enema using the cold press coffee.
Electrolytes; My colonic practitioner taught me about adding electrolytes to the enema bucket. Especially if you are doing 2-3x per day for serious health/illness issues. E-lyte (BodyBio/E-Lyte Balanced Electrolyte Concentrate 20 oz) is the one my colonic person uses and I buy from her. It is offered on amazon as well.
Great time for an added facial skin treatment: Just before the enema, I soak a wash cloth in warm water and lay it on my face to open the skin pores. Then I smear on some pumpkin enzyme goop mask stuff (currently Mychelle) and leave on for the enema session. Wash off after your enema session.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8015261863240621192.post-76267742652267384612012-04-11T17:07:07.815-07:002012-04-11T17:07:07.815-07:00Absolutley just do it! Easy as blow drying your hair. :) Yes, you can have parasites and all kinds of toxins moving around in the blood. If your liver is laden with toxins as well it can't do it's job properly to clean up the blood. I've had horrible problems with fatigue in the past too. This really does help! As well as eating super healthy and drinking lots of fluids of course. When you do it please let me know how it goes!Amber Higginshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16826069077975104634noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8015261863240621192.post-41200915093175085752012-04-11T08:55:13.544-07:002012-04-11T08:55:13.544-07:00ok...this keeps coming up again and again. Dirty blood? I'll have to buy some coffee I guess. Thanks for you take on this. It helps a lot.Wonderwomanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12462916045964512828noreply@blogger.com
